On Monday morning, the European price on gas was down to EUR 100 per MWh, which is the lowest level since June, according to data from Bloomberg.

After a short dive to EUR 100, the European reference price on gas, measured on TTF natural gas in the Netherlands, increased slightly to EUR 101 per MWh later in the morning.

That is 11.11% below the level on Friday, when the price landed at EUR 113.576 per MWh.

The gas price has now declined by 70.2% since the year’s peak of EUR 339.196 on Aug. 26. The price increased strongly during the summer, as gas deliveries from Russia were reduced.

At the beginning of the year, the price was down at EUR 80.43 per MWh.
