Dong Energy has overcharged for the transport of natural gas from the North Sea. This has been recently revealed by the Danish Energy Regulatory Authority (DERA) based on a complaint from Maersk Energy Marketing (MEMAS).
The complaint deals with the period from November 2012 to March 2014, where the energy company charged a transport tariff of DKK 0.1023 per m3 gas. This must reduced to DKK 0.0575 at the 2012-level, says DERA. According to EnergyWatch's calculations, over the period approximately 4.67 billion m3 of sales gas were delivered to the Danish west coast which means that Dong has charged DKK 209 million (EUR 28 million) too much for the transportation.
