Maersk Oil needs a new agreement for the sinking Tyra oil field before the new year, or the company will close the critical gas field down.
This is the threat from Maersk to the Danish government. However according to the Friday edition of Danish daily Børsen, the country's ministers have not been intimidated enough to rush to the negotiating table with the Danish conglomerate.
