Central Texas port hopes to reopen soon

While the citizens of Houston will likely go months before everyday life returns to normal, the situation is a little brighter for the Texan oil and freight port Corpus Christi.

The damage is severe but not to the extent that it is irreparable.

In fact, a return to normal operations could happen relatively quick, according to the oil and gas port Corpus Christi in a statement Tuesday. The port is located just over 300 kilometers south of Houston, where the tropical storm Harvey has caused extensive damage.
