Iran opens talks with Maersk competitors

National Iranian Oil Company has initiated a dialog with other multinationals to further develop the oil field South Pars after negotiations with Maersk Oil hit a standstill.

Negotiations between Iran and Maersk Oil have not moved forward, and the country has now started to look into other opportunities to further develop the South Pars oil field, reports newspaper Financial Tribune one month after Maersk Group announced the sale of its oil business to France's Total.
