Danish pension funds look to emerging markets for new energy projects
Lower returns in relation to risk on energy projects prompt Danish pension funds to look beyond the country's borders, say the funds in a survey conducted by FinansWatch and EnergyWatch among some of the country's biggest pension players.
Competition is fierce for wind farm investments in Europe, and the trend is forcing down returns while risk is rising as the subsidy schemes become less favorable.
