Six European utilities urge EU to raise 2030 emissions target

Six of Europe's largest utilities, Ørsted, Enel, Iberdrola, SSE, Statkraft and Verbund, have sent a joint recommendation to the EU calling for a higher target for slashing emissions.

Six of Europe's leading utilities, Ørsted, Enel, Iberdrola, SSE, Statkraft and Verbund, have sent a joint recommendation to the EU in which they call for a higher target for reducing CO2 emissions to at least 55 percent by 2030, reports Danish news agency Ritzau Finans.
