Norwegian parliamentary majority behind UK cable shatters

After Norway's Progress Party exited the governing coalition, the country's Labour Party airs plans to block installation of the interconnector to the UK.

Last week, Norway's right-wing Progress Party (Fremskrittspartiet) walked out of the country's governing coalition. That, however, is not the only item to have evaporated. The same seems true of the parliamentary majority backing the transmission cable Northconnect between the Scandinavian country and the UK. The Labour Party (Arbeiterpartiet) is considering proposing a bill to force the government to reject the interconnector, reports domestic media VG.
