Electric cars defy Covid-19 in Western Europe

Electric vehicle sales in Western Europe defy market trends, advancing markedly compared to last year, shows a new analysis by BNEF. However, global EV sales will decline compared to last year as a result of a considerable slowdown on the Chinese market.

While the pandemic has covered the world economy like a blanket, electric vehicle sales are booming in the West, according to a new analysis by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) concluding, however, that EV sales will decline globally.
