Host municipalities disappointed with Norwegian wind proposal

Higher tax revenue for municipalities housing wind farms weren't part of Norway's most recent wind initiative, which is meant to ensure improved processes for new wind projects, to the disappointment of municipalities and the industry.

The Norwegian government's proposal to renew the permit process for domestic wind projects covers nearly 90 compactly written pages and contains everything from the UN's Sustainable Development Goals to the Eurasian eagle-owl, noise limits and reindeer keep.
