Estonian researchers and NGOs pen an open letter to Denmark, warning the latter country that its consumption of wood has major consequences for the former's environment and nature – and damages climate.

Estonian scholars and NGOs send an open letter to Denmark, criticizing the latter's massive consumption of imported wood pellets for destroying the former's forests. The material is burned in biomass-fired power plants for domestic energy generation, reports Danish media Dagbladet Information.
