Biden's victory bound to impact energy sector

The wind industry is jubilant about the incoming US president's plan to bring the country back into the Paris Climate Accord. Fulfilling major green investment promises and getting the US on track to hit a 100-percent renewable power target for 2035 will be difficult feats of political balance for Joe Biden, however.

Climate change is coming for the White House. As of Nov. 7, 2020, at 5 p.m. CET, the Associated Press declared Joe Biden to be the US' 46th president, and congratulations began to roll in from around the world – even from heads of state and government who had hoped for a Trump win.
