Norway's government wants to sell Aker stakes

Industry Minister Iselin Nybø seeks a mandate to sell stakes in new offshore wind and CCS companies, among others. This must happen for the right price, though, she says on the state's poor investment in Aker.

The Norwegian state's co-ownership of Aker companies must end. This summer, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries agreed with the firm to phase out the state's shareholding in Aker Kvaerner Holding, but now Industry Minister Iselin Nybø seeks authority to divest government stakes in subsidiaries Aker Offshore Wind, Aker Carbon Capture, Akaster and Aker Solutions.
