Denmark joins European hydrogen effort

23 players prequalify as applicants to get their hydrogen projects into a European program that paves the way for state subsidy well beyond usual levels. As yet, however, the Scandinavian country has only allocated around EUR 10.4m.

Ørsted, CIP, Vattenfall, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa. Practically the entire elite of major players in Denmark's green energy sector and a number of small and mid-sized ones have declared their interest in developing large-scale hydrogen projects. An ambition now set to take a significant step forward.
