New rule to lessen need for expanding Norwegian grid

It should be beneficial to make small sacrifices. Norwegian entities such as ferries, data centers and oil platforms should therefore be able to establish connections to the power grid more quickly, provided they are willing to lose some electricity for periods of time, states a regulatory change made by the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy.
