Norway mulls generation fee for wind farms

A generation fee per kWh would ensure local value creation in Norwegian municipalities housing wind energy.

It's no great secret that wind energy on Norwegian soil is quite the disputed topic. The nation's government now suggests that local taxes be implemented for wind farms in order to dampen conflicts, reports state broadcaster NRK.
