Statnett sets new direction for Norway's power network

A new strategy will make the TSO more able to meet the predicted sharp increase in electricity consumption over the coming years.

As the green energy transition continues and new technologies and industries hop on board, new demands are being made of the Norwegian electrical grid. That's why transmission system operator Statnett will now attempt to plot a new course for development to prepare the network to handle a projected surge in power consumption.
