Sweden earmarks billion-euro sum supporting power and fuel bills

Stockholm wants to ease the effects of costly electricity and fuel in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Prices of both power and fuel have exploded as of late. The Swedish government now moves to provide a degree of relief for mounting expenses by granting SEK 14bn (EUR 1.3bn) to aid the population and reduce the effect of pricey electricity and fuels, the Swedish government informs in a statement.
