MAN technology could land in Russian gas major's hands

In April, engine developer MAN Energy Solutions applied for export permission for technology to a Russian end user, which has been targeted by US sanctions since 2014, show documents on which MAN declines to provide further details.

When Russia’s second-largest gas supplier, Novatek, some time in the future launches eight LNG-powered icebreakers, engines hereof will be designed by MAN Energy Solutions, according to plan.
