Belgium wants price cap on all EU gas import

Whereas the EU Commission has thus far only suggested a price ceiling on Russian natural gas, Belgium wants to the take things further by capping all gas imported to the union.

The EU Commission proposes setting a price ceiling on Russian gas as a means to tackle sky-high energy prices.

However, an EU gas price cap should apply to all gas imported to the EU, not just supply from Russia, says Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo to Politico.
