Danish liberals air state sale of Ørsted's offshore wind business

With the nation now in election mode, the Danish Liberal Party proposes divesting state interest in the utility’s offshore wind business to finance green transition investments of DKK 60bn. How such a sale would be executed remains unclear.

As a part of efforts to get more renewable energy capacity built, Denmark’s Liberal Party – now in campaign mode after the Social Democratic government called an election Wednesday – suggests the state sells its majority equity position in Ørsted.
