French regulator sees nation's power supply stable until at least mid-January

Significantly less energy usage over the last month has quelled fears about short energy supply – at least until the middle of next month.

Concerns about an electricity shortage in France are rolled forward a few weeks into the new year, largely on account of the republic’s households and businesses having successfully reduced power consumption as of late, says Commission de Régulation de l’énergie (CRE) Head Emmanuelle Wargon, reports Reuters.
