EU renewables talks postponed due to unresolved hydrogen issue

In a highly unusual move, the EU Parliament’s chief negotiator for revising the renewable energy directive has called off talks to push the EU Commission to table a ”delegated act” on green hydrogen.

This Tuesday, the European Parliament and the Swedish EU presidency were supposed to resume talks on the revised directive for renewable energy, which was to include targets for the proportion of renewables in the EU’s energy mix by 2030.
