Pension firm and peers urge five major banks to halt new fossil energy lending

Five big European banks providing credit to new oil and gas developments are at the center of attention in a new NGO initiative signed by Denmark’s AkademikerPension and other investors.

Danish pension provider AkademikerPension, along and 24 others investors, have put their signatures on an appeal made by NGO ShareAction urging five major European banks to stop providing credit for funding new oil and gas projects, the firm informs in a press release today.
