Ørsted anticipates DKK 16bn US impairments

While supply chain delays on US offshore projects are expected to cost an additional DKK 5bn, it will take lower interest rates and more nimble politicians to avoid imminent, much deeper wounds.

At best, Ørsted will have to write down its US projects by up to an additional DKK 5bn (EUR 670m). The utility company expects this to be the consequence of what it describes as ”a series of supply chain delays” for the Ocean Wind 1, Sunrise Wind and Revoution Wind projects along the US East Coast.
