Before the end of the year, the tendering of two Finnish offshore wind areas will be launched, and preparations for the tendering of the other three areas are underway. While the first two tenders, which are expected to run for about a year, will lead to the construction of 3GW, the allocation of the approximately 860 km2 of seabed in the Gulf of Bothnia is expected to lead to a total of 7GW of offshore wind with up to 500 turbines.
