EU sets aside billions to make ports greener

The funds will be used to promote cross-border infrastructure.

The European Commission has allocated EUR 594m to eight infrastructure projects that spread across several EU countries - and more than half of them are for the establishment of CO2 infrastructure in ports, according to a press release from the Commission on Thursday.
