
Wind energy will see a profile boost in Denmark under a government reshuffle which will prioritize the green transition as a key source of growth within climate and energy policy.
Over the weekend, the minority government ruled by centre-right party Venstre was expanded to include members from supporting right-wing parties Liberal Alliance and De Konservative Folkeparti (The Conservatives), who will contribute six and three ministers to the cabinet respectively. Now, under the new 'VLAK' (Venstre Liberal Alliance Konservative) government, a more green-focused climate and energy platform has been laid out, which includes the sub-target that a minimum 50 percent of Denmark's energy use in 2030 will be covered by sustainable energy.
