Major US fund enters green energy organization

The third-largest pension fund in the US is committing to investments in a green energy organization worth billions of dollars.

Major US pension fund, New York State Common Retirement Fund (CRF), has decided to join the international organization, Portfolio Decarbonization Coalition (PDC), which assists funds in reducing investments which can harm the environment.

This step will make CRF, which is the third-largest pension fund in the US with USD 184.5 billion in assets, the first pension fund to enter PDC which fights against investments in coal.
