EU Commission ready to negotiate Nord Stream 2

EU member states must take a stance on whether they will give the EU Commission a mandate to negotiate with Russia about the conditions for the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

Last Friday, the EU Commission officially asked the EU Council of Ministers to take a stance on whether the Commission can negotiate for a special legal framework deal to exclusively apply to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, writes the Commission in a press release.
