Putin slays doubts about Hungarian nuclear power plant

The expansion of the controversial, Russia-backed nuclear power plant Paks will begin early next year, confirms Hungary's foreign minister.

The construction of two new 1,200 MW reactors at the Hungarian nuclear power plant Paks will being in January, confirms Hungary's foreign minister Peter Szijjarto, according to several Hungarian and international media, following talks on the sidelines of the World Judo Championships.
