A new tool would protect Europe from foreign acquisitions of companies, which are vital for the EU's energy supply and infrastructure, proposed EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, in his "State of the Union" speech to the European Parliament Wednesday. And Danish members of the EU parliament would welcome the new tool in relation to Nord Stream 2 – the gas pipeline which Russia's Gazprom is working to establish in the Baltic Sea.
