Danish energy deal disappoints Vestas: Denmark will be worse-off

Danish energy policy must radically change if Denmark is to maintain its lead, says Vestas, which is disappointed with the government's latest energy deal struck with the Danish People's Party.
by MAZ PLECHINGER

Danish wind manufacturer Vestas is unhappy with the deal concerning subsidies to wind and solar over the coming two years, which was reached between the Danish government and the Danish People's Party Tuesday. Vestas says the deal does not move the industry in a positive direction, pointing to both the system for the two technology neutral tenders slated for 2018 and 2019 – expected to yield 190 MW in expansion – and the worsened conditions for test turbines under the deal.
