CHP dives into Danish electricity market with new tactic

A new association of Danish combined heat and power (CHP) stations will protect electricity customers from high energy prices with a whole new market mechanism, about to be launched. This will bring CHP owners new income and mean that more energy used in Denmark will also be made in Denmark.

While many Danish gas turbines and large-scale incinerators currently go unused for long periods every year, the plan is that going forward they will help shield the Danish electricity market from overpriced electricity.
