MHI Vestas has determined the cause of a fire that took place this August when one of the V164 turbines burst into flames at the Danish test center Ørsterild. An independent investigation shows that an individual component had been damaged during installation. This also means that the 9.5 MW turbine can be delivered on time, MHI Vestas states in a press release.
