Suppliers close to the breaking point

Price pressure in the wind industry has pushed several subcontractors to say that prices cannot afford to decline further.

The spread of wind power may be in the midst of a golden era at the moment, but this does not necessarily mean that the wind industry is a highly profitable business. Bottom lines cannot seem to keep up with top lines across the industry. The price pressure on turbine manufacturers has garnered particular attention recently.
