Goldwind flags delivery of 6 MW offshore turbine

The Chinese wind turbine manufacturer is now promising that it will be ready with its offshore wind 6 MW platform at the beginning of next year. The turbines will ultimately head for European markets as well as the closer Asian ones.

Chinese firm Goldwind has long been a fierce competitor to Vestas and Siemens Gamesa when it comes to onshore wind turbines in Asia. But soon, the company will also challenge MHI Vestas and other offshore wind turbine manufacturers – ideally, on their home turf in Europe.
