Siemens Gamesa secures order in miserable market

The wind turbine manufacturer returns to India with a major 200 MW turnkey order. "A major order" after a market downturn, says the manufacturer.

Siemens Gamesa has booked a 100-turbine order for an Indian farm in the state of Tamil Nadu. The 200-MW order, a turnkey project with Orange Renewable, will be equipped with G114-2.0 MW turbines and is expected to begin operations in February 2019, announces the wind turbine manufacturer.
