Danish/Japanese MHI Vestas is reshuffling its top posts. On April 1, Jens Tommerup and Tetsushi Mizonu will leave the offshore wind turbine manufacturer, which has instead appointed Areva's former Offshore Wind Director Philippe Kavafyan to be the new chief executive officer and former Nordex chief exec Lars Bondo Krogsgaard as co-CEO, announces MHI Vestas
"Both Philippe Kavafyan and Lars Bondo Krogsgaard possess deep knowledge of the industry and major markets, and MHI and Vestas strongly believe that their combined expertise and leadership within the wind industry is precisely what the joint venture requires to be successful in the future," says Anders Runevad, Chief Executive Officer at Vestas.
