Siemens Gamesa will supply the wind turbines for the offshore wind farm Hornsea 2.
The order for 1,386 MW is the largest order ever for the manufacturer and concerns the largest wind farm to date. The project is expected to begin operations in 2022 and will be fitted with Siemens Gamesa's new 8 MW turbine, the 8.0-167 DD, announce the offshore wind turbine manufacturer and Ørsted.
