E.on has awarded Vestas an order of 57 MW in Italy. The wind turbine manufacturer will supply 19 of its V112-3.0 MW turbines to the Morcone project in the Benevento province, announces the Danish manufacturer after the German already utility released the news.
Besides announcing the actual order, Vestas mainly notes the manner in which it was won. The Morcone project was the largest single project in the latest Italian auction. And the ability to win auctions is growing to be quite an attractive skill on mature markets.
