French utility acquires 8 GW wind in the US

Engie is taking over one of the largest wind developers in the US, which can boast 1.6 GW of Vestas, GE and Siemens Gamesa turbines with another 24 projects underway.

French energy company Engie has bought a slice of the US wind market. Subsidiary Engie North America has paid an undisclosed amount for US developer Infinity Renewables with a portfolio of more than 8,000 MW wind projects either under development or already operating, announces Engie.
