Siemens Gamesa overtakes Vestas but not in onshore

Vestas was named the world's largest supplier of wind turbines yesterday, Monday, but Siemens Gamesa is really in the lead, according to another analysis.

Siemens Gamesa has climbed to the top as the world's largest wind turbine supplier, stealing the title from Vestas after the Spanish-German company merged last year and launched operations of onshore and offshore wind turbines with total capacity of 9.52 GW, concludes Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) in a report, according to Recharge News.
