
The Danish Minister for Development, Ulla Tørnæs has approved a DKK 600 million (EUR 80.5 million) co-financing of a wind farm construction project including up to 54 turbines, or 100 MW, near to Ethiopia's captial Addis Ababa.
The new wind farm's total costs will be around DKK 1.26 billion, so the Danish contribution amounts to a 50 percent of the co-financing. The Danish development aid will be channeled through Danida Business Finance, and the project will be sent to tender among Danish companies, the Danish Foreign Ministry informs.
