Ørsted will not give up after defeat

The Danish energy company's defeat in the US first offshore wind tender seems to have been a painful one. Even though Massachusetts chose to allocate the tender's maximum grid capacity – 800 MW rather than 400 MW – and despite neighboring Rhode Island simultaneously announcing an additional 400 MW expansion project, the world's largest offshore wind developer and Ørsted's consortium partner Eversource left with nothing.
