Recycling facility for expired solar panels opens in France

A new, potentially lucrative industry recycling materials from expired solar panels has emerged in France.

More and more European solar panels are reaching retirement age, and a French company aims to utilize that. The company Veolia is opening a recycling facility that will specialize in disassembling old solar panels in order to reuse materials such as glass, aluminum, plastic and silicone to be used in – new solar panels.
