Australian Prime Minister abandons climate targets

In an attempt to maintain his leadership position, the Australian Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull has abandoned plans to reduce Australia's greenhouse gas emissions by 26 percent through legislation.

The climate battle in Australia has suffered a huge blow after Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull dropped plans to adopt legislation to limit the country's greenhouse gas emissions by 26 percent.
