EU to drop import controls on Chinese solar modules

From September, China will again be able to export solar panels to the EU without them being subject to anti-dumping tariffs. This will in all likelihood lead to significantly lower prices on European solar projects, but it will also subject European solar module producers to stiff competition.

As of September, the EU will no longer collect the current minimum anti-dumping tariff on Chinese solar panels, which have otherwise been subject to the levy since 2013, reports Reuters.
