Virginia opens up for Ørsted project

The governor of the US state has launched an energy plan which includes appeals to the 2GW offshore wind project for which Danish utility Ørsted is co-developer.

The US state of Virginia is finalizing its green targets. Over the next 10 years, the state will expand its electricity network and expand its energy efficiency efforts with 3000 MW solar and onshore wind, as well as entering the growing offshore industry in the US with the installation of 2,000 MW in 2028, announced democrat governor Ralph Northam in its 2018 Energy Plan.
