Prysmian wants to avoid price war

Weaker orders and the prospect of a large volume of unused capacity has struck the cable industry, and this has also created a risk of an intensified price squeeze on the cable market.

Italian cable supplier Prysmian has thus far not experienced major difficulties in utilizing full capacity at its facilities, and the company is hoping that challenges in the industry will not unleash a price war.
